This app is incredibly frustrating due to the redundant sign-on requirements. It’s never clear which password belongs to the Fuel Rewards program versus the Shell app itself. Even as a tech-savvy user, I found the interface so confusing that I gave up after four attempts and took my business elsewhere. The login process needs a major overhaul.

The app fails to credit rewards all the time, the whole reason I bothered to download it. Rewards through a code, like T-Mobile, work fine, but their "fun" email promotions like get gas four times in a month or spin the wheel fail to register more often than not. Edit: In 2026, I can't add a 5th card and the limit is apparently 2. Terrible in the modern age of cards with quarterly rotating categories. No error message, it just says it sent a verification SMS and never does.

This app is AWFUL. It says you have to verify a number it emails to you, but then rejects the number and won't send a new one. The "resend" link doesn't work. And the AI assisted help can't process any input. And YES I used the right email. YES, I checked my Trash and Spam folders. YES, I restarted. YES, my connection is strong. This is just a one-star junky app.
