Crippled by lack of features in the free version. People keep complaining about the lack of features in the free version, and the developer keeps promising that they're going to add them, but they never do. The price is exorbitant for what you get because you can get most of the features for free just running a couple of other apps. If it wasn't a monthly fee I might consider it, but the fact that they want $50 a year is insane. They need to lower the price and add more features to the free ve

Thanks for the honest feedback and sorry we've missed the mark. We hear the frustration on free-tier features and pricing; we're actively working on improving that balance. If you can tell us which features matter most for your time on the water at team@paddleways.com, it really helps us prioritize. Appreciate your time and thoughts!

I hope I'm just doing something wrong, and if so, I'm happy to change my rating... on the website I have access to the information on any of the bodies of water and their access points with a free subscription. On the app, that same information isn't viewable. As soon as I click the "More Info" on any description, it takes me to the page to change to the paid subscription. I click the options to continue with the free one, but it never lets me see the "More info". So I have to use the website.

This app promised great information, but once I paid the $25 introductory annual fee, I found out it doesn't deliver much. Not for a kayaker in New York anyway. I checked a couple of routes I have paddled. In one case the app doesn't mention a section of rapids that has to be portaged around in Old Forge. In another case, it doesn't distinguish between sections of the Susquehanna. There's a huge difference between that river in upstate NY and in Harrisburg, PA.
