I have literally never reviewed an app before and I'm reviewing this one because of how annoying it is. 1. I bought the product. why am I constantly seeing ads on an app to control my thermostat? 2. the ecobee Ux is infuriating. it takes digging through menus to find whay tou want. Good luck setting or changing a schedule 3. it's slow and laggy. why? its really not doing that much work.

update: desynced and had to delete and sign in again. Broke all my automations. Decent app for the most part but some things you have made unusable. Geofencing is cool but I cannot stand that you made a notification for when I leave and return that I cannot swipe away. It is persistent that you need to tap on to open so that you can then swipe it. That is ridiculous.

The app had an intrusive pop-up come up asking for a rating while I was using it. And it has ads for other Ecobee products. And it has trouble showing current temperature and setting upon opening the app. I know the app itself is free, but when you paid over $100 for the thermostat, all of these things are like slaps in the face and make me want to buy another brand when this one stops working.
